It always seemed nicer to me than the undergrad dorms. Aside from the fact that it was really far away from campus.

I find the comparison certainly true of the campus housing at Notre Dame. (Albeit I haven’t carefully toured any of the undergrad buildings.) The (only slightly) longer walk to the library is a bonus in a job that involves sitting for about 12 hr/day, 6 days/wk… :)
